It takes tremendous courage and vulnerability to invite another being -- especially one you don’t know at the outset -- into your life, journey, and inner workings. I am honored that you would consider me for the part!
Choosing a clinician can be daunting for a number of reasons (goodness of fit, cost, and location, just to name a few). The Greater Cincinnati area is abundant with wonderful therapists who provide top-notch services, and this fortunate fact can sometimes create overwhelm in prospective clients who are finding through their research that so many options exist. My hope is to make this process slightly easier for you by creating a clear picture of what I can offer and what you can expect.
What I can offer: Authentic growth and healing require a strong foundation of trust and security. While the content of therapy is not always comfortable (personal growth can be hard work), I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space in which you feel accepted, seen, and at ease, even in the midst of difficult topics and emotions. I am trained and experienced in several different therapy modalities and adopt a flexbile approach that allows me to adapt to your unique situation and needs. What you can expect: Together, we will identify your therapeutic needs/preferences and will develop a roadmap for addressing target areas in a way that fits for you. For some people, this means structured, skills-based treatment; for others, it means a more nondirective, insight-oriented approach; many people prefer to inhabit someplace in the middle. In any case, your therapy will be custom tailored to reflect what makes the most sense for you, and we will continually reassess your needs/preferences to promote consistent, measurable progress.
